Kew incidents

Please see information regarding incidents reported in North Richmond and Kew on 16th June.

Officers are investigating a series of linked incidents reported during the morning of 16 June in the Richmond area, including Raleigh Road Recreation Ground and Ennerdale Road.

The incidents involved a male approaching women, making inappropriate and sexualised comments, and in one report exposing himself.

We understand that this type of behaviour is distressing and concerning. Please be reassured that officers are treating these incidents seriously and are carrying out urgent enquiries to identify and locate the individual involved.

You may see an increased police presence in the area while we conduct patrols and gather evidence. This is to provide reassurance to the community and deter further offending.

At this time, there is no information to suggest a wider ongoing threat beyond these incidents; however, we are taking proactive steps to ensure public safety and support those affected.

We would urge anyone who witnessed these incidents, or who may have relevant information, CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area between approximately 08:15 and 09:00, to come forward.
